4-14-21   THOUGHTS

What in our lives is SURE?  Without faith, NOTHING!  With FAITH, ALL THAT PERTAINS TO GOD!
Ps 19:7    The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Ps 23:6    Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Ps 85:9    Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land
Luke 10:10-12   "But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,  11  ‘Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ 12  "I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
The  SURETY OF THE KINGDOM was  PRESENT BUT REJECTED!  TRAGEDY!

Acts 13:34 "   [As for the fact] that He raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY [and] SURE [blessings] OF DAVID.’                  An angel to Mary, see  Luke 1:32
Rom 4:16   For this reason [it is] by faith, in order that [it may be] in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
2Tim 2:19    Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands [standeth sure], having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."‘
Heb 6:19  This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a [hope] both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,
2Pet 1:10  Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
2Pet 1:19   So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.
Heb 7:22   so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee [made a surety KJV] of a better covenant.
Ps 46:10a    Be still, and know that I [am] God:

My Prayer:
Accept our love and praise O God.  Teach us to be still and wait upon you in this unstable, spinning world we live in.  Help us to be sure of you, and to rest in our faith.  May we know the peace that passes understanding.  It is only from you O God.  Help us to be diligent to make certain of your calling and choosing us, O Father.  In Jesus name     Amen
